Little Inventors wants children to open their eyes to the world of invention and creativity. But beyond the invention drawings, there is a unique opportunity for children and makers, designers and artists to come together and collaborate to bring children’s imagination to life.
By taking children’s ideas seriously and presenting them in a professional manner through collaboration with skilled makers, we will help showcase children’s original ideas, perspectives and voices.
We also want to challenge the skills and experience of adult makers, and encourage them to push beyond their own limits by engaging with the highly imaginative and unhindered minds of young children.

Having spent several years making furniture I decided to progress my abilities and return to education to gain a qualification in design at Napier University.

Open Lab is the interaction design research group based in the School of Computing at Newcastle University.
We have a huge amount of experience working with partners from the NHS to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies - helping them solve real-world-problems using technology.
We have built apps, designed toolkits, created AI, designed immersive storytelling. created interesting ways to collect feedback, made VR environments, built physical technologies, made data more accessible, and so much more.
We take a human centred-design approach meaning that we design technology with people in mind.
Recent computer engineering graduate and now an associate design engineer. Love combining art and design with the traditional engineering areas of electronics and mechanics. Started a venture developing fun and educational circuitry kits for tween girls, always interested in helping others make things.
As Fashion and Interior design students at Manchester Metropolitan University we are going to take "The Ocean Cleaner" by Ishaan age 6 and create a functioning model from their invention. We are going to think about materials we can use that are marine life friendly but also incorporate the fun elements of their design.
