Little Inventors wants children to open their eyes to the world of invention and creativity. But beyond the invention drawings, there is a unique opportunity for children and makers, designers and artists to come together and collaborate to bring children’s imagination to life.
By taking children’s ideas seriously and presenting them in a professional manner through collaboration with skilled makers, we will help showcase children’s original ideas, perspectives and voices.
We also want to challenge the skills and experience of adult makers, and encourage them to push beyond their own limits by engaging with the highly imaginative and unhindered minds of young children.

My father was a clock repairer and my uncle was a bin man so, as a 6 year old boy, I’d take things they gave me to pieces and make spaceships, rockets and robots out of the bits. Now I have a business making found object artworks (predominantly robots) and, with some of them, I use my electronic skills to give them functions such as being a light, a music player or an audio/visual sculpture. I also teach kids how to make sculptures out of WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment)
I'm an award-winning graphic designer with a love for new and emerging technologies. When I'm not designing for work, I'm illustrating or making amigurumi creatures for fun!
I am a middle school teacher in Ontario Canada. I want to make science and technololgy accessible for all students.
I believe that creativity can be life-changing and I work inspiring children how to boost their creative thinking. I live in London with my 5 years old son, my life partner and an imaginary dog. Currently, I work for the iOi (Institute of Education), The Maker Cart and The Barbican as freelance. I have studied an MA in Psicology of Creativity in Barcelona and an MA in Primary Education in London at UCL.
We are a group of 5 girls from Manchester School of Art who are doing a university project and have a passion for fashion!
As a fiber artist and community worker, I strive to help people channel their creativity, playfulness and curious thoughts into positive outcomes. In the midst of creating a social enterprise, I work to help others thrive, and help make the world more and colorful.
Shawn is heavily involved with the Halifax Makerspace. He's most comfortable with wood and anything that can be laser cut, but there's nothing he enjoys more than learning new techniques and media.
We are a group of Manchester Metropolitan University students who are currently coming towards the end of our first year. In the Design School we do a collaborative unit with other design students, so 'team name' are made up of 2 Interior Design Students and 2 Fashion Students, we are looking forward to bringing a little creators idea to life.
