Little Inventors wants children to open their eyes to the world of invention and creativity. But beyond the invention drawings, there is a unique opportunity for children and makers, designers and artists to come together and collaborate to bring children’s imagination to life.
By taking children’s ideas seriously and presenting them in a professional manner through collaboration with skilled makers, we will help showcase children’s original ideas, perspectives and voices.
We also want to challenge the skills and experience of adult makers, and encourage them to push beyond their own limits by engaging with the highly imaginative and unhindered minds of young children.

I graduated from The Northern School of Art in Hartlepool, studying a BA Hons in Textiles and Surface Design. I then started my career as a greeting card designer, designing for a leading card company selected from my degree show to work as a junior designer. I sold my greeting card designs to Cancer Research, Samaritans, and many more charities. I have freelance experience also. Again, thank you for your time and consideration.

I'm a lecturer in robotics at University of Bristol. In my research I focus ion energy-autonomous robots: robots that sustain their own electrical energy needs by digesting aquatic pollution. I also research soft actuators and mechanisms for controlling fluidic systems and for swimming robots.
I recently took my robot, the Row-bot (a soft, swimming robot that eats pollution) to the science museum in London and I was really inspired by the comments from the young people who came to see the robot in action. Now I want to engage more with these people to make their cool ideas reality.
Hello, My name is Huiting (Whitney) Li. I am from China. In 2014, I spent a year studying in MA Curating and Collections at Chelsea College of Art and Design. I have passions in art and education.
