Meet our Magnificent Makers

Little Inventors wants children to open their eyes to the world of invention and creativity. But beyond the invention drawings, there is a unique opportunity for children and makers, designers and artists to come together and collaborate to bring children’s imagination to life.

By taking children’s ideas seriously and presenting them in a professional manner through collaboration with skilled makers, we will help showcase children’s original ideas, perspectives and voices.

We also want to challenge the skills and experience of adult makers, and encourage them to push beyond their own limits by engaging with the highly imaginative and unhindered minds of young children.

Hi, I’m Craig and I run a design and engineering consultancy. My background is in mechanical design and development engineering and I have worked on products ranging from race cars to large diesel engines to health and safety equipment. I’ve always loved getting involved in STEM support with schools and this looks like a great initiative where I could share my design and engineering skill to help bring some amazing inventions to life.

I'm Honey, and I specialise in environmentally conscious and ethical design. I create models from materials we consider 'waste', giving them new life as something treasured. I am a recent graduate and paired with Little Inventors for the Falmouth University collaboration in my final year project.

I am a retired Mechanical Engineer with a big interest in electronics controlling mechanical things. I create my machines using wood, aluminium, plastic, DC motors, batteries, servos, sensors & Arduinos. They are designed to be not too big so I can take them into schools as a STEM Ambassador to engage & enthuse children.  My Lego Sorting Machine, Wheelie Bin Waste Robot, Local Delivery Robot, and Dinosaurs Automata have all proved popular with years 4, 5 and 6. I believe passionately in increasing STEM awareness in primary schools.
