Little Inventors wants children to open their eyes to the world of invention and creativity. But beyond the invention drawings, there is a unique opportunity for children and makers, designers and artists to come together and collaborate to bring children’s imagination to life.
By taking children’s ideas seriously and presenting them in a professional manner through collaboration with skilled makers, we will help showcase children’s original ideas, perspectives and voices.
We also want to challenge the skills and experience of adult makers, and encourage them to push beyond their own limits by engaging with the highly imaginative and unhindered minds of young children.

Graham has been a teacher for many years, teaching children in Science Quest at Queen’s University, City of Toronto science summer camps and more. He is an Instructor at MakerKids.
Halifax Makerspace is a non-profit group of people who love to make with a variety of materials and skills. We support each other in our individual projects, participate in group community builds, and offer free electronics workshops.
Lalya Gaye is an artist, designer and engineer based in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK where she runs the collaborative digital media art practice Attaya Projects. Lalya builds interactive art installations, provides consulting in interaction design and digital technology, and delivers creative electronics workshops. She works primarily with sound, light, metal, interactive technologies, and urban space.
MakerKids specializes in Robotics, Coding and Minecraft programs with highly trained instructors. We run camps, programs, birthday parties and in-school programs across Canada and beyond!
Max is a technically skilled designer with a highly practical understanding of the principles he employs. From an early age making things was a way of life; a skill that for over 20 years has been honed to give way to highly creative and pragmatic insights within design.
Meera is a Maker Educator and a New Media artist. She is also a very positive, driven girl that never stops dreaming, playing and creating!
Sculptor on steel and glass, I work with materials transformed with fire into a physical and philosophical alchemy, to overcome the barriers of the world and history. My dream would be to be able to rewrite history to free men.
Richard Scott is a mechanical engineering graduate from the University of Ottawa and also a Brunsfield Center student machine shop supervisor.
