Little Inventors wants children to open their eyes to the world of invention and creativity. But beyond the invention drawings, there is a unique opportunity for children and makers, designers and artists to come together and collaborate to bring children’s imagination to life.
By taking children’s ideas seriously and presenting them in a professional manner through collaboration with skilled makers, we will help showcase children’s original ideas, perspectives and voices.
We also want to challenge the skills and experience of adult makers, and encourage them to push beyond their own limits by engaging with the highly imaginative and unhindered minds of young children.

I am an architect based in London. I was born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (my hometown). I am a partner of Studio Bound, a research led design practice based between London and the Gulf. We endeavour to bridge our research ethos with our design practice.
If it's electrical, bleepy and blinky, I'm interested... and I've probably got something you'd like on my shelf of abandoned projects.
I also like chopping wood and welding metal.
I have been coming to DoES for 6 months. The defence dress has been my biggest collaboration project here, as I hope to continue to contribute to future projects, both my own and group projects. I enjoy building and taking apart computers, radios and anything electronic. I like to impart positive attitude onto others.
Since the age of five, I have been interested and fascinated with dismantling things to understand the working principle of their mechanisms. This curiosity led me to follow modules at school, college and now at University level that involved electronics, 3D modeling and mechanics. At the moment I am doing a Mechatronics and Robotics degree which links very nicely with what I enjoy doing "thinking outside the box" to solve problems that are already there or to simply make better products for different applications.
I like to make things that help with managing aquaponics systems and/or look beautiful. I work with Access Space, Sheffield University, Heeley City Farm and others from Sheffield and beyond!
Programmer, car enthusiast, engineering geek. If it's got mechanical or electrical parts, you'll probably find me taking it apart. Been making stuff since I was a youngster. I also help run the Hackburn hackspace in Blackburn.
Skills trainer at computing specialist college. Mentor of hardware and software projects maker of flashing lights.
I am a multi-disciplinary engineer who has always had an interest with taking broken things apart to find out how they work and putting them back together again, sometimes resulting in them working again!
Working for The Manufacturing Institute I set up the first Fab Lab in the UK in Manchester back in 2009 and have since been involved in the national and global network. I have helped many other organisations to set up Fab Labs across the UK and for the last couple of years I have been Director of The Making Rooms in Blackburn.
