Skills:I've been involved in product design for many years and on behalf of The Manufacturing Institute brought Fab Labs to the UK in 2009. Since then I have been responsible for setting up and running many Fab Labs across the country and currently run The Making Rooms (Fab Lab Blackburn)
I am a multi-disciplinary engineer who has always had an interest with taking broken things apart to find out how they work and putting them back together again, sometimes resulting in them working again!
Working for The Manufacturing Institute I set up the first Fab Lab in the UK in Manchester back in 2009 and have since been involved in the national and global network. I have helped many other organisations to set up Fab Labs across the UK and for the last couple of years I have been Director of The Making Rooms in Blackburn.
