DOM will suck up the oil from ships before the oil can harm any marine life. We will program DOM to use the AI to navigate to where the oil leakages are and to determine how far away they are. Using its strong tail to propel it forward, DOM will quickly swim towards the leak. It will use the powerful vacuums in the blowhole and the mouth to suck in the oil which will be collected in tanks in DOM’s abdomen. The excess water will be filtered out of miniature holes in the back of DOM’s tail. I chose to bio mimic a dolphin because they are fast and strong swimmers and will swim to the leakage easily. The jaws of DOM will have the ability to open and close to control how strong the vacuum will be and AI will be used to navigate back to its homeboat where people on board will empty the tanks. DOM will be made of recycled plastics that are also being collected from our oceans. There will be a pod of DOMs that will travel with each other so oil will be sucked up quicker and more efficiently and because dolphins normally live in pods. DOM will be powered by solar panels which will charge a battery to help function DOM. Finally there will be a backup remote control in case of an emergency. DOM will help cleanse our oceans to make it a better place to live.
