"The divine in me honours the divine in you". During this creative session, the children designed coloured hearts as we discussed how easy it can be to be hurt by what people have said. Every time we remembered unkind words we creased the heart and then shared loving and kind words with each other to unfold the creases. The damage may be long lasting and it's important to be kind to everyone.

Creasing and smoothing out the heart is a great exercise to demonstrate the power of words. Unkind words can indeed leave a lasting impact but kind words can equally help us to heal and to see the good in other people. When we recognise friendly traits in other people, we can recognise them in ourselves too and explore ways in which we can use our own words to spread kindness.
