The Lost & Found Office of Oddities Workshop at Riverside Family Hub

Riverside Family Hub, based on Garrick Street in South Shields, offers a welcoming space for families with babies, children and young people, working closely with local services to provide advice, guidance and support. For this special session, it will also become part of The Lost & Found Office of Oddities’ recruitment network.

Our Office staff will bring along a selection of unusual items from the archive and invite families to help work out what they are. Participants will be encouraged to offer theories, spot clues, invent stories and decide what each object might possibly do.

The workshop will also include creative activities using drawing, storytelling and invention, giving children and families the chance to design their own oddities and puzzling artefacts.

Funny, curious and highly interactive, the session invites everyone to become a trainee investigator of the unexplained.
