The Lost & Found Office of Oddities Workshop at Riverside Family Hub

Riverside Family Hub is a welcoming space on Garrick Street in South Shields, supporting families with children and young people through local advice, guidance and services. During this workshop, the Hub will also host a very unusual recruitment session for The Lost & Found Office of Oddities.

Families will meet our Office staff and help investigate a collection of puzzling items from the archive. Participants will be encouraged to look closely, compare clues, share ideas and invent explanations for what these strange objects might be and where they may have come from.

Children and families will then use their discoveries as inspiration for drawing, storytelling and invention activities, creating their own unexplained objects and curious contraptions.

Funny, imaginative and full of conversation, this workshop invites everyone to become a trainee investigator and accidental expert in the unexplained.
