The Lost & Found Office of Oddities Workshop at Marine Park Family Hub

Marine Park Family Hub is a cosy, welcoming space in the heart of South Shields, serving a diverse local community and easily reached by public transport. For this special workshop, it will become a temporary base for The Lost & Found Office of Oddities.

Our Office staff are searching for new recruits to help with the careful investigation of unusual items found, donated or handed in over the years. Participants will be invited to inspect objects from the archive, offer their theories and help uncover possible stories, uses and origins.

Families will then use drawing, storytelling and creative problem-solving to invent their own oddities, mysterious artefacts and curious contraptions.

This is a hands-on, funny and imaginative workshop for children and families, encouraging everyone to look closely, think creatively and ask very important questions about very unusual things.
