The Lost & Found Office of Oddities Workshop at Horsley Hill Family Hub

Horsley Hill Family Hub is based within the Horsley Hill Campus in South Shields, alongside Sea View Primary School and Bamburgh School. It is a welcoming community space supporting families with babies, children and young people, and it provides a fitting setting for a workshop built around curiosity and imagination.

The Office is currently seeking new recruits, and workshop participants will be invited to prove their skills by examining unusual items from our archive. Families will be encouraged to look closely, ask questions, invent explanations and decide what each item might be used for.

Through drawing, storytelling and hands-on creative challenges, children and families will create their own mysterious artefacts and curious contraptions, while learning the essential Office skills of observation, speculation and invention.

Funny, playful and highly interactive, this workshop invites everyone to become an investigator of the unexplained.
