The Lost & Found Office of Oddities Workshop at Horsley Hill Family Hub

Horsley Hill Family Hub is part of the wider Horsley Hill Campus in South Shields, a lively community setting that includes Sea View Primary School and Bamburgh School. The Hub provides a cosy and welcoming space for families, professionals and the wider community.

For this workshop, the Office will be looking for new trainee investigators. Participants will explore strange items from the archive, examine their shapes, clues and possible uses, and share their own theories about where each object might have come from.

Through playful activities, families will use drawing, storytelling and imaginative invention to create their own mysterious artefacts and curious discoveries.

This workshop is funny, hands-on and designed to encourage children and families to think creatively, work together and see ordinary-looking objects in wonderfully unexpected ways.
