The Lost & Found Office of Oddities Workshop at Boldon Family Hub

Situated in the heart of Boldon Colliery, Boldon Family Hub is a warm, friendly and welcoming place for families, offering support, advice and imaginative activities for the local community. It is just the sort of place where unusual discoveries might be examined properly.

In this creative session, our Office staff will introduce participants to a collection of strange and puzzling items from the archive. Families will be encouraged to inspect them, ask questions, invent backstories and help decide what each item might do.

The workshop will also include drawing, storytelling and invention-based activities, giving children and families the chance to create their own mysterious objects and curious contraptions.

Funny, hands-on and full of imagination, the session invites participants to become investigators, inventors and accidental experts in the unexplained.
