The Lost & Found Office of Oddities Workshop at Biddick Hall and Whiteleas Family Hub

Biddick Hall and Whiteleas Family Hub is a safe, welcoming space for local families in South Shields, offering advice, support and activities for children, young people and their families. During this special session, the Hub will also become a temporary recruitment centre for The Lost & Found Office of Oddities.

Our Office staff will introduce participants to a selection of unusual items from the archive. Families will be invited to inspect them closely, share their theories and help us answer the vital questions: What is it? Where did it come from? Who might have used it? And what might it do?

The workshop will use drawing, storytelling, invention and playful discussion to encourage children and families to create their own strange discoveries and curious objects.

Full of humour, creativity and mystery, the session is a chance to become a trainee investigator, inventor and accidental expert in the unexplained.
