The Lost & Found Office of Oddities Workshop at Biddick Hall and Whiteleas Family Hub

Biddick Hall and Whiteleas Family Hub is a community space in South Shields where families can access support, advice and activities. For this session, it will also become a temporary training office for our newest recruits.

Our dedicated Office staff will introduce participants to a collection of strange and puzzling objects from the archive. Families will be asked to examine them carefully, discuss what they notice and help answer the questions every good Office worker must ask: What is it? Where did it come from? Who might have used it? And what might it do?

The session will also involve drawing, storytelling and inventive making, as children and families create their own mysterious items and curious contraptions.

Playful, imaginative and full of unexpected ideas, this workshop invites everyone to become part of The Lost & Found Office of Oddities for the morning.
