The Lost & Found Office of Oddities Workshop at All Saints Family Hub

All Saints Family Hub is a welcoming family space on Whitehall Street in South Shields, based on the site of Stanhope Primary School and close to West Park. With its community spaces and family-friendly setting, it is an excellent location for a workshop built around imagination, curiosity and playful discovery.

Participants will be invited to join The Lost & Found Office of Oddities as trainee staff for the afternoon. Their duties will include examining puzzling objects from the archive, suggesting what they might be, deciding where they could have come from and imagining what important purpose they may once have served.

Families will then use drawing, storytelling and invention to create their own strange objects and unusual discoveries.

This funny and hands-on workshop encourages children and families to look closely, ask questions, share ideas and become accidental experts in the unexplained.
