The Lost & Found Office of Oddities at Bents Park Live: Pride in South Tyneside

Taking place in Bents Park on South Shields seafront, this special Pride celebration brings together live music, entertainment, food vendors, stalls and a joyful afternoon of love, diversity and togetherness. The event features South Shields’ own Joe McElderry, joined by a line-up of special guests including Sonia.

The Lost & Found Office of Oddities is responsible for the careful collection, cataloguing and investigation of unusual items found, donated or handed in over the years.

Our dedicated Office staff will be attending the event with a selection of strange and puzzling objects from the archive. Visitors will be invited to inspect the items, offer their theories, share any expert knowledge they may have, and help us answer the important questions: What is it? Where did it come from? Who might have used it? And what on earth might it do?

From curious contraptions to mysterious artefacts, every item has a story waiting to be uncovered. Funny, intriguing and highly interactive, The Lost & Found Office of Oddities invites visitors of all ages to become investigators, inventors and accidental experts in the unexplained.

Come and find our Office staff during the event — we will be looking for curious minds, sharp eyes and anyone willing to help us uncover the stories behind the unusual, the mysterious and the very, very odd.

The Lost & Found Office of Oddities will also be popping up at a range of other events, and running a series of workshops in Family Hubs, in South Tyneside this summer.
