Lit & Phil Invention Challenge 2026: Myths & Legends - Third Day of Workshops

On Monday 12 October, our Myths & Legends Invention Challenge continues at the Lit & Phil with another day of creative workshops.
We’ll be welcoming Year 4 pupils from Coquet Park First School in Whitley Bay for a day of imagination, invention and hands-on making.
Inspired by the stories, collections and historic surroundings of the Lit & Phil, pupils will explore myths and legends before developing their own imaginative invention ideas.
They’ll sketch, discuss and build prototypes using cardboard and recycled materials, bringing their ideas to life as they go.
We’re looking forward to seeing what brilliant and unexpected inventions they come up with!
