Lit & Phil Invention Challenge 2026: Myths & Legends - Second Day of Workshops
On Friday 9 October, our Myths & Legends Invention Challenge continues at the Lit & Phil with another full day of creative workshops for young inventors.
We’ll be welcoming Year 4 pupils from Hawthorn Primary School in Newcastle and Harry Hotspur C of E Primary School in Alnwick.
Taking inspiration from the stories, collections and extraordinary surroundings of the Lit & Phil, pupils will explore the world of myths and legends before dreaming up imaginative new inventions of their own.
They’ll develop their ideas through drawing, discussion and hands-on making, using cardboard and recycled materials to create prototypes and bring their thinking to life.
We’re looking forward to another day packed with big ideas, brilliant imaginations and plenty of inventive fun!
