Lit & Phil Invention Challenge 2026: Myths & Legends - Fourth Day of Workshops
On Wednesday 14 October, our Myths & Legends Invention Challenge continues at the Lit & Phil with another full day of creative workshops.
We’ll be welcoming Year 4 pupils from Broadwood Primary School and Lemington Riverside Primary School, both from Newcastle.
Inspired by the stories, collections and historic surroundings of the Lit & Phil, pupils will explore myths and legends before dreaming up imaginative new inventions of their own.
They’ll develop their ideas through drawing, discussion and hands-on making, creating prototypes from cardboard and recycled materials to bring their thinking to life.
We’ll also be joined during the day by Lucy Brown from Newcastle City Council, who’ll be visiting to see our young inventors in action.
We can’t wait to see what wonderfully imaginative ideas they come up with!
