My invention is called the Ghost Fishing Stopper. It will expand when underwater so that fish cannot eat or get stuck in it, and it is made out of elastics so it will float. LED lights will be attached so it is visible on the surface of the water, and if people want to retrieve it in the water. It will help solve Ghost Fishing, where nets are left unattended in the ocean.
It works by fishermen using these nets, then IF they are left in the water, the elastics will start to expand. The elastics will float to the surface quickly and emit their light using the LED lights. If a clean-up is ever needed, the nets will be visible to people searching for them.
