Primary school pupils in the North East are invited to the amazing Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead for five thrilling workshops.
Based on current Baltic exhibition Mythmachine by Sahej Rahal, during the STEAM-centric workshops the children will be challenged to use their imagination to create their own mythical creature. They will then create a set of wearable components to perform as their creature. The exciting, school-day length experience incorporates story-making, drawing, making, texturing, sound creation and performance.
The children will work alongside Little Inventors’ expert cardboard artist Lottie Smith to produce the creature costume and be mentored by performance artist Igor Tavares, to curate their own unique portrayal of creatural behaviour. It is not one to be missed!
